Who I am and What Drives My Passion
My Creative Journey
I'm a Freelance journalist, content writer, and ghostwriter specializing in creative storytelling and narrative development. I work across editorial, digital, and long-form content, helping ideas take shape through clear and compelling writing. I also teach creative writing classes, mentoring aspiring writers and helping them refine their voice and storytelling skills.

Who Am I?
My name is Zeeshan Ali, and I am a writer by passion and creative inclination. I hold a degree in Maritime and Business Management from Bahria University Karachi. In addition to my undergraduate studies, I earned a Diploma in Public Relations and PR Management from the Institute of Management Technology and Finance, and I am currently studying Investigative Journalism.
I began working at the age of 14, when I landed my first role as a Junior Content Writer. Since then, my career has moved through a variety of roles across corporate environments and creative industries. Over the years I have worked with a number of large clients, many of whom I cannot legally disclose, where I developed strong foundations in content writing, strategic communication, and digital development.
One of my early roles involved working with a content development agency, where I handled course formatting and publishing tasks for 360training. I worked directly with their CMS systems to prepare and upload course material into their LMS platforms. This experience strengthened my understanding of document formatting, digital publishing structures, and content management systems.
From there, my work gradually moved deeper into brand development and content strategy. In these roles I developed practical experience in creative direction, design thinking, website development, and online reputation management (ORM). While I would not call myself a developer, I do have a working understanding of basic coding and WordPress development, which allows me to collaborate effectively with technical teams.
Eventually, my work expanded into ghostwriting and publishing, a field where I discovered a strong natural fit. Over time, I developed expertise in book formatting, manuscript structuring, and preparing books for different publishing platforms. To date, I have assisted more than 100 authors in preparing and publishing their work.
My professional path then progressed into public relations and reputation management, where I began working with entrepreneurs, public figures, and high profile professionals. In this capacity, I became involved with Wikipedia editing, Knowledge Panel development, and IMDb profile creation, helping individuals establish credible and verifiable public profiles online.
Currently, I serve as a PR and Corporate Communications Manager at The Coach360, where I focus on communications strategy and reputation management. I also maintain a presence on LinkedIn, where depending on the day I occasionally treat the platform as a place for professional commentary and the occasional bit of unapologetic “professional shitposting.”
That covers the professional side of things.
On the personal side, writing remains the core of who I am. Over the years I have written dozens of short stories and have self published three books so far. I have also written numerous articles, some of which have appeared in publications such as Dawn, Express Tribune, and Pakistan Education Review.
Beyond prose, I have also written theatre plays, directed stage performances, and occasionally adapt books into screenplays, alongside writing original screenplays of my own.
When it comes to storytelling, my preferred territory lies in psychological horror, philosophical narratives, and themes of existential dread. I also enjoy writing essays and analytical pieces. Many of my articles and blog posts explore books, films, stories, and philosophical ideas. That said, I do not like being confined to a single genre. I enjoy experimenting across different forms and styles of writing whenever the story demands it.
Outside of work, I am a voracious reader, a movie enthusiast, and an unapologetic music nerd. Start a conversation with me about any of these subjects and you will likely find me talking far more than expected.
For the most part, I prefer a quiet life and tend to keep to myself. Recently, however, I have begun teaching creative writing, helping aspiring writers refine their craft and develop confidence in their own voice.
At this point, I have probably shared more than enough.
If you are still curious to know more, perhaps we can discuss that later. Preferably over coffee. Or a consulting fee.
